1. Purpose of This Privacy Policy

SOVORO inc. ("Company") values the privacy of users of the Salt Bread app ("Service") and complies with applicable laws including the Personal Information Protection Act. This policy explains the purpose, methods, and retention periods of personal information collected when using the Service.

2. Personal Information Collected and Collection Methods

2.1 Information Collected

  • Automatically collected during use: Device information (OS, version, etc.), usage records, access logs
  • Processed during feature use: Entered text, speech recognition results (processed on device), text for TTS playback
  • Locally stored settings: Favorite phrases, voice pitch, font size, language settings, license key

2.2 Collection Methods

Information is automatically collected during use or directly entered by users, and is processed for local storage and service provision.

3. Purpose of Use

  • Providing augmentative and alternative communication features (speech synthesis, reply suggestions, expression expansion, handwriting recognition)
  • Service quality improvement and stable operation
  • License and subscription management
  • Compliance with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Provision and Outsourcing

The Company does not provide user personal information to third parties in principle. However, the Service integrates with the following external services, each of which follows its own terms and privacy policy.

  • Firebase (Google): Serverless API hosting, authentication and subscription management
  • OpenAI / Google Gemini: AI-based reply suggestions and expression expansion
  • NAVER Clova: Natural speech synthesis (TTS)

Information shared with these providers is limited to the minimum data necessary for service functions (e.g., input text) and does not include user-identifying information.

5. Retention and Disposal

  • Locally stored data: Deleted when the app is uninstalled or reset.
  • Server-processed data: API requests and responses are disposed immediately after processing and are not stored long-term.
  • Access logs, etc.: May be retained for the period required by law or for service operation.

6. Your Rights

You may delete or change stored favorites and settings at any time within the app. For inquiries or requests regarding personal information processing, please contact us.

7. Security Measures

The Company takes technical and administrative measures to protect personal information and complies with the security policies of external services such as Firebase. Sensitive information such as API keys is stored only on the server and not exposed to clients.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated in accordance with laws and company policy. Changes will be notified through the Service or at least 7 days before the effective date.

9. AI Use Notice

In accordance with Korea's Artificial Intelligence Framework Act, we disclose how Salt Bread uses AI.

  • Generative AI: Reply suggestions, expression expansion, speech synthesis (TTS)
  • On-device AI: Handwriting recognition
  • Integrations: OpenAI, Google Gemini, NAVER Clova, and others (see Section 4)

The app notifies you about AI use at first launch. Some AI features are subject to daily usage limits.
